レチノール配合クリーム塗り方の極意

The secret to applying retinol cream

Clear autumn sky!!

I moisturized my skin, put on some sunscreen, and went for a walk around the neighborhood.

The good season is short.

I took in the autumn sky to the fullest.

Recently, I've been writing about moisturizing and creams containing retinol on my blog, and today I'd like to talk about both.

Retinol

First, a quick review of retinol.

Retinol is a derivative of vitamin A.

1. Promotes skin turnover and quickly expels excess melanin from the skin.

Therefore, it is good for dark spots, dullness, and acne scars.

2. It suppresses sebum secretion, which is good for oily T- zone and enlarged pores.

3. It encourages fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin.

This makes the skin firmer

What we want to pay attention to here is point 1, the "turnover-promoting effect."

Reactions vary depending on skin type,

Many people will experience some dryness.

For sensitive skin, it can cause dryness, redness and stinging.

Here are some suggestions on how to paint it.

If you experience severe reactions such as dryness or redness, first moisturize your entire face with lotion or milk, then apply a cream containing retinol.

If you don't experience any unpleasant reactions, after washing your face, apply a cream containing retinol directly to the areas you want the effect on, and then moisturize on top of that.

Whether you have sensitive skin or not, be sure to wear sunscreen during the day!

The frequency of application,

If you have no problems, apply it twice a day, morning and night.

If you are sensitive, use it once a night.

If your skin is very dry or sensitive, reduce the frequency of application to 2-3 times a week.

You may also want to stop applying the cream before your period, during pollen season, or when you're busy and feeling unwell.

As for me, I have such sensitive skin that I almost became a dermatologist in order to treat myself.

I try out all the cosmetic treatments (lasers, topical medications, etc.) that are offered at the clinic on myself, but that's because my skin usually reacts the strongest to them, making me the perfect test subject (laughs).

Even creams containing retinol can cause the skin to become dry and peely overnight.

But I want to paint it!!

So after applying lotion, milky lotion, and moisturizing cream, I apply a cream containing retinol on top of that. Obsession? (lol)

By the way, the retinol cream I use is nano-encapsulated pure retinol, so it's very effective. I also use it on dull areas of my body, such as my groin and elbows.

Another thing to be aware of is if you are currently receiving treatment at a cosmetic dermatologist. If you are using a retinol-containing preparation, you may experience more redness or stinging than usual during treatment at the cosmetic dermatologist. Therefore, if you are currently receiving treatment, be sure to tell your doctor that you are using retinol!

For many people, the strong reaction subsides within 1-2 weeks of starting to apply the medicine, so they tend to forget to declare it at that point. This is dangerous. Please be aware of this.

Retinol-containing cream

*Do not use on skin that is experiencing accelerated cell turnover, such as immediately after sunburn, or on skin with eczema or dermatitis. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should not use this product.
