What is Retinol?
"Beauty Autumn" has arrived!!
Yes, "Autumn is the season for beauty" is just something I say (*^^)v
However, after enduring and enduring the scorching heat, the ``good season'' has finally arrived.
If you read, eat, and play sports, it's only natural that you'll be able to get passionate about beauty too!
Seriously, even at Aoharu 365, we tend to see a significant increase in the number of users in the fall compared to midsummer.
It also makes it easier to go out. With less sunlight and drier air, you'll want to take better care of your skin.
The recommended ingredient for home skin care this fall is "retinol."
Retinol has skin plumping and wrinkle-fighting properties.
- Promotes the synthesis of hyaluronic acid in the epidermis
- Promotes collagen synthesis in the dermis
・On the other hand, it suppresses the activation of collagen decomposition enzymes caused by UV rays .
And so on, it's quite a hard work.
Retinol is a vitamin A derivative.
When it comes to "vitamin A derivatives" in clinic examination rooms, "tretinoin" is the more commonly used term rather than retinol.
Tretinoin is a drug used to treat age spots, wrinkles and acne.
However, it has the property of being extremely irritating to the skin, and will always cause redness and peeling.
In comparison, retinol is gentler and much easier to use!
That's why it has become so popular recently, as a cosmetic to combat fine lines around the eyes and dullness on the whole face.
The retinol-containing cosmetic product that I use myself is a cream containing nano-encapsulated "pure retinol."
It is more effective than retinol acetate and retinol palmitate.
Furthermore, it penetrates the skin slowly ( sustained release ) , so it is less likely to cause peeling and less likely to develop resistance to the skin.
The "airless packaging" that keeps the product stable is also cute. Having this on your dressing table will make you feel more excited about taking care of your skin!
Some cosmetics that claim to contain retinol can be a bit irritating.
Also, pure retinol is very unstable and the formulation technology is very difficult, so it is often expensive.
So the key points when choosing cosmetics are (1) whether they take full advantage of the "low irritation" benefits of retinol, and (2) whether they are relatively affordable. These two points are important conditions for using functional cosmetics for a long time, not just those that contain retinol.
Why not try a retinol cream this fall to help your skin age well?
* Vitamin A derivative preparations should not be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women.
*Please use within 3 months after opening. If left for too long, it will lose its effectiveness.
